Nova Health Tech

Nova is building AI-powered diagnostic tools that sit inside existing clinical workflows. Their technology is remarkable. Their digital presence, when they came to us, was not.

The Brief

Healthcare is a trust-dependent industry operating in a wave of AI skepticism. Nova needed a site that could simultaneously communicate cutting-edge capability and deep, earned trust. The wrong visual language would have killed deals before a conversation started.

Research & Discovery

We spent three weeks embedded with Nova's sales and clinical teams. We watched demos. We sat in on provider calls. What we learned: physicians are not impressed by abstraction. They want specificity. Outcomes. Evidence.

The design direction that emerged was what we call Rigorous Warmth — the precision of a clinical instrument with the approachability of a thoughtful colleague.

Design System

Nova now operates on a component library we built from the ground up:

  • Accessibility as Architecture: WCAG 2.1 AA compliance baked into every component, not retrofitted. Color contrast ratios are guaranteed at the token level.
  • Data Visualization Language: A bespoke chart and graph system that maintains brand voice even when showing dense clinical data.
  • Responsive without Compromise: The system was designed mobile-first, but desktop layouts received equivalent attention — Nova's physicians often work on large clinical monitors.

The Marketing Site

The public-facing site does three things:

  1. Establishes Credibility — Through published outcomes data, named clinical partners, and peer-reviewed research citations.
  2. Demonstrates the Product — An interactive product simulation on the homepage shows, in 90 seconds, exactly what Nova does and why it matters.
  3. Converts — Every content decision was pressure-tested against the sales team's most common objections. The result is a site that closes arguments before they start.

Results

Nova used the new site and design system to close a Series A round. The investor deck used components directly from the Farmer Studio design system.
